Jennifer Jackett is a Senior Adviser in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in the Australian Government. She has also served in the Department of Defence and Office of National Intelligence and has experience advising government on a range of issues, including critical infrastructure, foreign interference, counter‑terrorism, international defence engagement, and defence capability development.

She is currently on leave from government while pursuing a PhD as a Sir Roland Wilson Scholar in the National Security College at the Australian National University. Her research examines US-China competition for leadership over advanced and emerging technologies, and the implications for US allies and partners including Australia.

She holds a Master of National Security Policy from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies (International) with First Class Honours and the University Medal from Sydney University.
