Australia Can’t Continue to Divide the Indian Ocean in Two


On the ABC’s Counterpoint program with Amanda Vanstone, Dr David Brewster argues that Australia’s conceptualisation of the Indo-Pacific which divides the Indian Ocean in two is no longer a sensible or useful way of defining our region. David argues that Australian policymakers need to include the island states of the western Indian Ocean in Australia’s Indo-Pacific strategy, even if only in a fuzzy way.
