The world is rapidly changing, and disruption has become the new norm. Thinking proactively about the future landscape, and taking a systematic approach to understanding future possibilities and risks, is an increasingly vital tool of enquiry for national security professionals.

This program introduces participants to the basics of futures analysis, including a range of methods for considering both short and long-term challenges and opportunities. These methods help analysts and policymakers identify the drivers of change, enables a better understanding of plausible operating and policy environments, and helps in shaping possible responses.
