Holding Facebook accountable for child exploitation on their platforms

Child exploitation and sexual abuse is growing sharply, fuelled in large part by recent technological advances.

In response to a current parliamentary inquiry, which is examining law enforcement capabilities in relation to child exploitation, Dr William Stoltz has authored a submission that puts forward a number of sensible policy responses.

He outlines how the Commonwealth Government could take a harder line on holding Facebook accountable for child exploitation on its platforms. Dr Stoltz goes on to articulate how the Minister for Home Affairs could shut down Facebook’s Australian operations, should they fail to improve.
