On Thursday 4 October, James Clapper, former US Director of National Intelligence and a visiting Vice-Chancellor’s Distinguished Professor launched his book, Facts and Fears: Hard truths from a life in intelligence to a full house at the National Security College.

In this talk Mr Clapper discussed his lessons from a life in intelligence, including the hacking of the 2016 presidential elections, the possibility of a nuclear disarmed North Korea and the challenges facing the US in the Indo-Pacific, among numerous other insights.
